It is estimated that 85% of the population in India will face some form of spine-related disorder, owing to the sedentary lifestyle of the working class. Children of today will soon constitute a large percentage of this population. Why not help them while we can?
The goal of this workshop is to help children get more aware about the functioning of their bodies from a very young age so that they grow into healthy adults who understand the importance of good health and make a conscious attempt to stay fit.
It is important for children to understand the basic functioning of the human body – the anatomy, the muscles used during each movement, physiology and energy systems, the essential nutrients required for sustaining physical activity and healthy growth.
There are two types of Workshops that I conduct for Children and Students:
i) Human Anatomy, Physiology & Nutrition
ii) Muscle Awareness & Posture Alignment
The workshops aim to:
Assess the posture of each child.
Teach them simple exercises that’ll help improve body alignment.
Introduce them to healthy eating habits.

A: The program is a combination of theory and practicals. For the theory section we shall require the use of a classroom. The practical part can be designed based on availability of equipment on the premises. Some activities can be planned outdoors, depending on space availability.
A: The duration of a workshop can be as brief or as extensive as you wish it to be. The ideal situation, however, is to incorporate these as part of the school’s P.E. (Physical Education) curriculum – 12 hours over one trimester.
